Our material

We have the appropriate material to suit the number of navigators and non-navigators on board the canoe.

K1: 1-Person Kayak

Type of material: Open boat or « sit on top », unsinkable and self-draining. Propelled by a double blade paddle.

For: 1 navigator

Please note: 2 types of K1 are available depending on your size (<1m90, 90 kg and >1m90, 90 kg). This should be specified when making your reservation.

C2: 2-Person Canoe

Type of material: Classic Canadian canoe. Propelled by a single blade paddle. Both paddlers should work as a team.

Number of navigators: 2

C3: 3-Person Canoe

Type of material: Classic Canadian C2 canoe but with an extra seat in the middle. Propelled by a single blade paddle. The non-navigator also has a single blade paddle, however his/her role does not influence the navigation in itself and simply serves to add extra driving force.

Number of navigators: 2 navigators, 1 non-navigator.

C4: 4-Person Canoe

Type of material: Special Canadian canoe (with a wider middle seat and an overall larger width for better stability). Propelled by single blade paddles.

Number of navigators: Odd number. 2 navigators + 2 non-navigators or 3 navigators (must be <1m90, 90 kg, in the interests of stability).

C6: 6-Person «Large Family» Canoe

Type of material: Classic Canadian canoe, but longer and wider and therefore more difficult to manoeuvre. Requires previous experience of canoeing.

Number of navigators: 2 navigators + 4 non-navigators or 2 navigators + 3 non-navigators

Equipment provided

  • 55 litre dry barrel storage drum (1 per canoe or kayak)
  • Life jackets (help you to float, but do not replace the ability to swim)

Choose according to your size and weight (correspond to standard clothes sizes): XS (<30 kg), S (30-40 kg), M (40 – 60 kg), L (60 – 80kg), XL (80 – 100 kg), XXl (> 100 kg).

What information should you give when making your reservation?

  • If your group is composed of several non-navigators: children present for C4 or C5, or C3. We would invite you to tell us where the children are seated in the canoe: 1 per canoe (C3), 2 per canoe (siblings, C4), 3-4 per canoe (a large family, C5).
  • Number of navigators: If the number of navigators is an odd number, you should envisage choosing between K1 (must be <1m90, 90 k) and C4 (3 navigators, <1m90, 90 kg).
